A summer holiday should always be a carefree and fun time, but as we all know when you have a young family every preparation should be made to ensure the safety of you and your young ones. Therefore the British Red Cross recently developed and are now rolling out an app called Baby and Child First Aid, an interactive guide to keeping your whole family safe during your trip in the UK or abroad in the summer of 2017.
This free App is designed for portable devices such as the iPad, the iPhone and other Smart phones 📲 . It will include practical responses on dealing with simple complaints such as sunburn, scratches and falls, to major medical concerns such as allergic reactions, sunstroke, drowning and choking. The App is now available to purchase from the Apple iTunes Store, Google Play and other major mobile device retailers. The Baby and Child First Aid app gives parents a lot of confidence that whatever the medical emergency they will have the required response.
However to maximise your effectiveness in a family first aid emergency it may be best to do one of the British Red Cross first baby and child first aid courses. To find out more about these courses see this page: baby and child first aid courses – providers
Alternatively you can contact the British Red Cross by telephone on 0344 871 11 11, to request information on courses that are available in your area. I recently did one of their courses in the Birmingham area, and as a father I now feel much more confident that I could choose the appropriate response in an emergency. The Baby And Child First Aid App, which I have downloaded on my smart phone gives me extra confidence that I can be of assistance if I see a child in medical distress.
Customers who have already downloaded the app and are experiencing issues with it can contact Apple by telephone on 0800 107 6285.
Or if you have downloaded it from Google Play then you should phone the Google Play Support team on 0800 328 6081.
